Bias OTR Tires: Tough, Economical and Easy to Repair
Bias OTR tires are built from layers of nylon cord laid at alternating angles. The stiff sidewall gives stability and cut resistance, and the lower purchase price makes them popular for short hauls, low speeds and severe job sites such as quarries, scrap yards and underground mines.
Choosing a bias OTR tire
- Ply rating (PR): sets the load and inflation capacity, for example 16PR, 20PR, 28PR or 36PR.
- TRA code: L-3 for general loader work, L-4 and L-5 for deeper rock treads, G-2 for graders, E-3 for haulers.
- Tube type or tubeless: many bias sizes run with a tube and flap; order them together.
