Skid steer tires: Frequently Asked Questions
How often should skid steer tires be replaced?
It depends on surface and use. On concrete and asphalt, tires wear fast. Replace when the tread is low or when cuts reach the cords.
Are solid skid steer tires uncomfortable?
Solid tires give a firmer ride than pneumatic tires, but modern designs with apertures soften it. Many operators accept the trade-off for zero flats.
What does 10-16.5 mean?
10 is the section width in inches and 16.5 is the rim diameter in inches. It is the most common skid steer size.
Do you ship skid steer tires in sets of four?
Yes. Replacing all four tires together keeps steering even, so we quote sets of four.
